THE CARLISLE HOUSE: You, Too, Can Live Like A Convicted Felon! (At $428 to $856 Per Night, With A 2-Night Minimum)

Ah, Memorial Day weekend...the unofficial start of summer.

And since Miss Fortune's already dubbed it the "Summer of Steve", it's fitting to remember that not only should a liar be a man with a good memory—we should all celebrate the Griswold family in every one of us.

I'm talking vacation!

No, not a cross-country trip to Wally World...a stay in Traverse City.

Aestas, the Roman goddess of summer, has delivered a magnificent gift: a 5,000 square foot summer rental

The home, located within screeching distance from the Grand Traverse Academy, is the Traverse City residence of Steven and Deborah Ingersoll. Although official property records now show the Carlisle Farms Drive home is owned by the "Deborah Ingersoll Trust", it's recently hit the burgeoning summer rental market.

What's next, selling your crap on eBay?

  1. Wow...thanks for uncovering some more news on the Ingersoll hospitality business(es). One wonders since the people making the review say they stayed there in March (just shortly after Mr. Ingersoll's conviction), if the Ingersolls went to the zoning and planning in their Traverse City area community and went through appropriate channels? Of course nothing would surprize any of us when it concerns the Ingersolls. And it appears the Carlisle House wasn't listed as one of their "Lucky Seven" properties for the Traverse City law firm's future advance mortgage for $250,000. And one wonders when they'll have to start repaying that $2.7 million in back taxes and penalties? They're going to have to rent out the Webster House, The Carlisle House, and if/when they do open, The Perry House a lot of nights, weeks. Maybe it's a 'test run' for prison cell surrondings? Maybe they'll ask the feds to have prison accomodations equal to their hospitality businesses?

    1. Also wondering if the people who wrote the rave March review are super close friends of the Ingersolls? Who knows, maybe it was the Noss'es or the Lynches who wrote the review?

  2. I wonder if there are some money trees planted on the grounds there?

  4. And again... and again... absolutely no coverage or updates on the Ingersoll case in the Bay City Times.. investigative journalism seems to be a thing of the past in this town. Thank you again for this blog, or there would be no news at all!

    1. Yes, we are all grateful for this very needed blog. You are doing a very appreciated service that local media is neglecting. Sad that it took the Bay City Times five or more weeks to report the sentencing delay on Ingersoll. I guess we should be grateful that at least they finally did inform the public.

  5. Please keep posting. It would be interesting to know it this is zoned as a rental property. Hard to keep your business private when you keep posting it online.
