BLOC HEADS: And Then There Was One; Single Team5 TCAPS Candidate Victorious

“No part of the education of a politician is more indispensable than the fighting of elections.”
Winston Churchill, former British Prime Minister

“Especially in local elections, because hardly anybody pays attention to those - but it's really important who's mayor and who's on the city council, county commissioners, sheriffs, district attorney, and of course the school board.”
Jello Biafra, former lead singer and songwriter for the San Francisco punk rock band Dead Kennedys

According to Grammarist, bloc means “a group of nations or people united by common interest. This is its primary definition, but it is occasionally used in a variety of other senses that make it roughly synonymous with group or alliance.”

The Team5 TCAPS coalition fielded a bloc of five candidates and one (Erica Mohr) was successful.
