"CHASE"-ING STEVE: Is This Convicted Fraudster (And Charter School Cheater) Steven Ingersoll's Secret Chase Bank Account?

What are jelly jars, sock drawers, watertight containers submerged in a toilet or envelopes taped under a kitchen shelf.

If you answered "places to hide money", you'd be correct.

But what if you had a previously-secret dormant bank account, one that you didn't disclose to federal authorities during your fraud trial or to the Full Spectrum Management bankruptcy trustee?

It would be the perfect place to hide money: in plain sight.

According to Michigan's Unclaimed Property database, Steven Ingersoll has a relatively small amount of money languishing in a dormant account at Chase Bank.

And before you object, the same Chase Bank-related claim shows up in the search for Steven Ingersoll when you search under Bay City instead of Traverse City.

And while I don't have the time to search Ingersoll's massive list of Michigan LLCs, it appears his Smart Schools Management, Inc. entity had a US Bank account.

Wonder how many of these Ingersoll Michigan business entities will show up in an unclaimed property search?
