CODE RED: Five Years After Assuming Management Control Of Grand Traverse Academy, Mark Noss Faces Federal Investigation Of His Massive Cash Transfers To Convicted Felon Steven Ingersoll; Secret Transfers Of Taxpayer Cash Exposed In 2016 & Could Leave Noss On The Hook For $766,925 Owed By His Full Spectrum Management To Independent Bank

Red is the color of passion. 

It’s a primal color—the color of blood and the heart. 

It was one of the first colors ever used by prehistoric artists, and throughout history it has represented courage, love, joy, anger, and war.

But red ink is business jargon describing a financial loss—like the $766,925 owed by Full Spectrum Management, LLC to Independent Bank.

Full Spectrum, an LLC formed in 2014 by Mark Noss, filed for bankruptcy in February 2019, seeking to discharge its obligation to repay the balance owed on a $925,000 line of credit debt originally provided by Traverse City State Bank to Steven J. Ingersoll.

Noss, as we all know, famously fell on his sword, and assumed the obligation in 2014 to repay the $989,825 outstanding debt owed by Ingersoll to the bank.

Whether Noss was a schnook or a putz, we'll likely never know why he took on the obligation that Ingersoll initiated.

I could speculate that Noss may have gotten part of the nearly $5.0 million Ingersoll illegally diverted from the Traverse City charter school, activity that Ingersoll himself admitted under oath during his sentencing hearing.

Or that Noss hoped his abortive MDN Development scheme to undertake the expansion of the Grand Traverse Academy would generate enough cash to pay off Ingersoll's debt.

Or his close relationship with Ingersoll, and fellow optometrist and board member, Brad Habermehl, would provide protective cover when the financial shit storm hit.

But that would be mere speculation.

Here's one fact I can leave you with today: there is an investigation surrounding the transfer by Noss of nearly $400,000 to Ingersoll ongoing in federal bankruptcy court.
