"TRUST" ME: Debbie Does Default?
The Grand Traverse County Treasurer's office filed a "tax forfeiture" notice on April 15 for property held in East Bay Township by the Deborah Ingersoll Trust.
The Ingersoll's Carlisle Farms home sits on roughly five acres near the Grand Traverse Academy.
Although the home had been jointly owned by the couple, in 2010 Steven Ingersoll combined two parcels and quit-claim deeded the land and home to the "Deborah Ingersoll Trust".
The Grand Traverse County Treasurer's office confirmed to Miss Fortune that the outstanding amount ($227.12) is from 2013, and Deb has until March 31, 2016 to pay the debt and hold off foreclosure.
We "trust" she'll make the payment...after all, there's gold in them thar hills!

We trust the Deborah Ingersoll trust should become federal property soon. Was this part of the Gent properties?
ReplyDeleteNo, this was not one of the seven properties backing the future advance mortgage provided to Steven Ingersoll by Jan Geht's law firm.
DeleteSince these are related parties and they will not be able to prove illegal funds were not used to purchase or maintain the property; this should be easy for the IRS to seize. Looks like the Ingersoll has been prepping for asset seizure for some time.
DeleteIt would be awesome if all properties in Michigan reverted to the government - who accepted Ingersoll's values of his property. If he disposed of it for $300 (the government accepts that valuation) towards Ingersoll debt. Cards played right he could be out of property and the feds can go after all earnings from the charters for the next 15 years.
DeleteWe know that Deborah reads this blog. Wonder how much it pains her to have the reality of tax default aired here? Come on, dear Deborah, let's hear it.
ReplyDeleteI'd also like her to answer where the money came from to pay for the extensive work in her bed and breakfast.
For the money to pay for her redecorating and other extensive work on the first B & B, you only have to 'look' at the $586,000 her husband prepaid himself in 2009, and the $1.5 million he prepaid himself in 2010 as the CEO management company for the Grand Traverse Academy. I'm sure that's where a lot if not most of the money came from.... honest taxpayer money that her husband siphoned for both of them.
DeleteThe grapevine says she really went overboard to decorate the house on N. Birney that the first superintendent of the Bay City Academy, Ryan Schrock
and his family lived in.
See comment below. The "overboard" decoration at the N. Birney house has been refuted.
DeleteAnd you wonder how much has already been put into 2230 Center Avenue, the Perry House? Or, because of the Quit Claim Deed to Essex, the contractor who got that nice home at 241 N Farragut (for a $1 too?), maybe he's working off part of the value of that home by working at 2230 Center? You just never know with them. Maybe the work there will be almost finished, and then the Traverse City law firm can take it?
ReplyDeleteWhoever wrote that about the Schrock ' s house being overboard decorated by Denorah is completely wrong and their grapevine is making sour grapes. That place was not decorated at all and the carpentry done on the house was quite shoddy. It was a very basic place. I just had to comment on that misinformation! I was there!
ReplyDeleteMiss Fortune puts an incredible amount of effort into have her facts straight. I hope everyone else will also.
Drive by the Birney house and see if you think it was well decorated. It has looked like it was falling apart before Ryan Schrock moved in, and still looks that way. Looks like nothing has been done to improve the look of the house. The garage doors are even boarded up, and the roof is falling off!
