GRAND TRAVERSE ACADEMY/FULL SPECTRUM MANAGEMENT, LLC AGREEMENT NOT IN MICHIGAN DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION FILES: Nearly Six Weeks After Announcement, And Still No Contract?

Shown below is the response Miss Fortune received yesterday regarding my request for information made to the Michigan Department of Eduction under the Freedom of Information Act.

Only the name and address have been redacted (you don't think Miss Fortune would reveal that, would you?).

And although nearly six weeks have passed since the Academy announced its selection of Mark Noss's Full Spectrum Management, LLC as its new education service provider, the contract has not made it to Lansing.

A savvy observer would expect that since the selection of Noss was fast-tracked, the rest of the process would be as swift.

The Academy announced its selection of Noss's company, formed the same day its selection was made public, on March 19.

According to the Michigan Department of Education, they are unable to provide a copy of Full Spectrum's contract since it has not been submitted by the Academy's "authorizer", Lake Superior State University.

Miss Fortune has requested an update from Nick Oshelski, Executive Director of LSSU's Charter School office.
