STICK A FORK IN IT, IT'S DONE: ROY BRADLEY GETS 5 YEARS IN FEDERAL PRISON FOR ILLEGAL ASBESTOS REMOVAL

BREAKING NEWS!

Although his attorney, Mark Satawa, attempted in a March 12 sentencing memo to paint his client Roy Bradley as so enfeebled by multiple medical problems that his sentence should be limited to no more than 24 months in federal lockup, U. S. District Judge Thomas L. Ludington today ignored that argument and sentenced Bradley to 5 years in federal prison.

Bradley was convicted by a jury on December 2, 2014 on four felony charges related to the illegal removal of material containing asbestos.

During the renovation at a church that is now the Bay City Academy, Bradley failed to provide his workers with protective gear and caused asbestos to be released into the air.

Ludington also ordered Bradley to pay restitution to his workers.

  1. Good. His failure to protect his workers deserves more than five years. It would be better if he could get five years for each worker. The exposure to the public. The state fines of improper disposal should come next.
