IF A TREE FALLS IN THE FOREST, DOES IT WEAR PANTS?

Rhodes contract
People here in Michigan collectively lost their shit when it was announced in March that retired U. S. Bankruptcy Judge Steven Rhodes would be paid $18,750 a month to be Detroit Public Schools' emergency manager through September 30.

One reader commented on a Detroit Free Press story, calling Rhodes “another pimp from Lansing”  and a crook who's part of the worst thieving state government in the country.

But Rhodes has a contract, a 13-page contract, detailing his duties.

Compare the reaction to Rhodes earning $18,750 a month to the cherry bomb that exploded when it was revealed that Steven Ingersoll had averaged roughly $26,000 a month in secret cash payments from former Grand Traverse Academy board president and current manager Mark Noss between April 2016-March 2016.

Well, there would have been a reaction, but the shocking story was only reported on this blog.

  1. One, the newspapers don't have your tenacity and hardwork ethics and two, the charter supporters don't want the truth out, they don't want to loose their big welfare checks. Paid to you through the wonder Michigan Department of Unscrupulous Education.
