DANCE MONKEY, DANCE!

“The Academy has no contractual relationship with this vendor and never authorized it or its contractor to incur debt or order materials in relation to an expansion.”
Grand Traverse Academy
Notes To Financial Statements
for the year ending June 30, 2017

Then how do you explain this: a November 30, 2016 “Request For Proposal” issued by the Grand Traverse Academy for a “Construction Manager Services for 25,000 SF High School Addition”?
Hmmm?

As you can see in the excerpt below, the Grand Traverse Academy gingerly acknowledged the civil lawsuit filed against the school, Mark Noss, Full Spectrum Management and MDN Development by Comstock Construction.

In its 2017 financial report, sounding like Sergeant Hans Schultz from Hogan’s Heroes (“I know nothing, nothing!”), the Grand Traverse Academy briefly discussed Comstock's complaint, announcing it plans to “vigorously defend” its position the school never authorized the project to move forward.

  1. Oops, sounds like lots of lies surrounding this law suit! Is this why Susan Dameron high-tailed it out of there? I think these board members must be getting paid off? Something is not right. I hope the construction company catches them in all their lies. They are in debt up to their eyeballs already, seems like a lawsuit will cost a bundle. The schools situation sounds stressed, which inturn puts stress on the teachers, and that trickles down to the children. I bet there is a lot of in-house battling/scrutiny going on. What a mess!
