GRAND TRAVERSE ACADEMY EXPANSION: Who Are The Investors?

THE SCHOOL EXPANSION PROJECT CREATED TO DELIVER A MILLION DOLLAR DOLLAR PROFIT TO ITS DEVELOPER AND HIS INVESTORS!

Beginning in November 2014, Grand Traverse Academy Board president Brad Habermehl covertly solicited a $300,000 investment “loan” from a business associate for what he then described as a “private school” project on behalf of his “friend and colleague” Steven Ingersoll, with Habermehl admitting only after Ingersoll's conviction that he was one of the project's five partners.

But what if Habermehl's story was really a smoke screen, with the money instead helping to bankroll the private enterprise behind the Grand Traverse Academy's new building?

Miss Fortune follows the money trail, making bank on a triple net lease, coming later today in: FLIP THIS SCHOOL!

  1. These guys are so crooked. I am sickened by their blatant and obvious mistrust as board members. They need to be thrown in jail along with their business partner Ingersoll! Who let's this stuff happen? Who is looking the other way to let them do this? Absolutely irresponsible, take charge of your schools and get rid of the crooks robbing your children, teachers and taxpayers. Time to ditch this idea and make sure they are banded from education forever. Go get a real job! Stop stealing!

  2. I completely agree with the individual who posted above. All of these individuals are completely crooked and their all in this together. They will lie for each other in any circumstance and will do so simply for the sake of keeping the money flow in the direction of their pockets.

They care nothing for the education of children. (Well let me correct myself by stating that, in fact, they do care when it benefits their financial well being).

I'll bet that Lynch, Noss, and all the others are all on the same page when it comes to their next BS scam. Whether it be IVL, a stupid curriculum app, or another optometrist/money making scam artist, these crooks are 10 steps ahead of the general public and media.

If there is anyone out there stupid enough to think that these people have the best interest of others before themselves......I hate to say this, but you are being played......big time.

    1. Media? What media?

The so-called "media" that made no mention when the Grand Traverse Academy Board's president Brad Habermehl admitted on the stand December 8, 2015 in federal court that he'd solicited a $300,000 investment "loan" from a business associate for a potential "private school" project on behalf of his "friend and colleague" Steven Ingersoll - even after his conviction?

And a big side-eye and stink face to those "journalists" who couldn't (or wouldn't) acknowledge the importance of an allegation made under oath that linked Bruce Harger, the former head of Lake Superior State University's charter school office, with a convicted felon!

When the most shocking revelations in this case only appear on this blog, it's too easy for the plotters and schemers behind this mess to downplay those stories.

But that's not my fault, it's the fault of everyone who reads this blog and does nothing.

  3. It is the responsibility of the press to present what is going on in a community and make people aware of good and bad. The press is hiding this information, because they don't have the balls to stand up and print what they should. If people don't start demanding the real facts these guys will be taking all your money and leaving your children uneducated. And if the press won't write articles, then everyone needs to start talking about this and get the ear of their favorite senator or representative listening to them. Wake up people get involved, take a chance, stand up for what is right, make your voice be heard.

    1. Not only start talking about all this corruption; rather KEEP talking about this corruption and these individuals. Don't only get the ear of your favorite senator or representative; rather, keep reaching out to all of them and demand that they start listening, and doing something. This corruption cannot be continually swept aside; it must be exposed, addressed and punished to the full extent of the law.
