The State of Indiana's Family and Social Services Administration (FSSA) today confirmed exclusively to Miss Fortune that Per Wickstrom's Tranquility Detox has submitted documentation for its official certification as an Addiction Services Provider, including Detox, Subacute, and Transitional Residential Services for its facility located at 3606 E. Jefferson Boulevard in South Bend, Indiana.
FSSA's Division of Mental Health and Addiction (DMHA) requested clarification on a couple items in the original application, received on July 31, and expects to respond to Tranquility Detox within the next 30 days.
Indiana requires that detoxification services be provided under the supervision of either a physician or a clinical nurse specialist licensed to practice in Indiana. The DMHA does not make the distinctions implied by the terms "detox" vs. "medical detox", according to the state spokesperson.
Your girl Miss Fortune wonders if a simple Google search is part of the Indiana process--it will turn up the story of Amber Bullins, whose death at Tranquility Detox in Battle Creek is being investigated by Battle Creek Police Department.
The South Bend facility, located right next door to a liquor store, was visited last night by the anti-Narconon "Suppressa Palooza" tour.
(Wonder if my boy Hergie was lurking there?)

Does this mean it is past time for public to submit comments to the state?
