Per Wickstrom's 'A Forever Recovery' named in medical malpractice suit filed March 15, 2013 in Calhoun County, Michigan

In addition to A Forever Recovery, Inc., the suit lists these defendants: Dr. Anthony B. Janas, MD; Dr. Stephen Robinson, MD (Medical Director of A Forever Recovery); and Dr. Seth Egleston DO, of Historic Northside Family Practice (a business operating under an assumed name registered to Dr. Stephen Robinson's Michigan Domestic Professional Service Corporation, Second Opinion. P. C.). Egelston is also an AFR medical staffer. In addition, Dr. Joel L. Goldberg, MD, Physician's Assistant William H. Blakeslee, Historic Family Physicians PLC of Battle Creek (incorporated June 9, 2008 by Dr. Stephen Robinson), and the Battle Creek Health System were also named as defendants.

According to official court documents, the plaintiffs are Clinton Ray Richmond and Colleen Richmond, who are represented by Dearborn, MI attorney Jeffrey T. Meyers.

Meyers is a partner in the Dearborn, Michigan firm Morgan & Meyers, PLC, described on the firm's web site as "The Million Dollar Trial Attorneys".

Here's Meyers' bio, excerpted from the firm's site:

Jeff Meyers was born and raised in Dearborn, Michigan. He graduated from Michigan State University in 1978 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biological Science. He earned his law degree from Wayne State University Law School in 1981.

Mr. Meyers began his practice of law in 1982 with the Ripple, Chambers and Steiner law firm, which became Chambers Steiner many years later. The firm then became Mazur, Morgan, Meyers & Kittle in 1999. Mr. Meyers and Courtney Morgan started their own firm in Dearborn in 2003.

Mr. Meyers represents seriously injured clients in a variety of complex cases. He and his team represent the victims of medical malpractice, product liability, automobile negligence and common acts of negligence. Mr. Meyers recognizes that his clients are looking for honest answers to the many questions raised by death or catastrophic injury. He endeavors to answer those questions quickly and directly by retaining nationally-recognized experts in numerous scientific, medical and highly technical fields. The vast majority of Mr. Meyers’ clients are referred to him by other attorneys who recognize his longstanding reputation for excellence and outstanding results.

Mr. Meyers was co-counsel on the largest settlement in Michigan for 2011 in a birth trauma case--$6.25 million. He has successfully resolved through trial or settlement dozens of multimillion dollar cases.

The plantiffs have demanded a
jury trial, so this one looks a juicy as a
nice, tart Leelanau County cherry!

MORE DETAILS AS THEY BECOME AVAILABLE.
